For its 380th anniversary, the house of Trudon is delving into history and launching a new collection called Tuileries: the new fragrance - available in four candle formats and a diffuser - refers to French heritage and the countless stories it contains. The Tuileries collection finds its inspiration in a rare document kept in the French National Archives: the Gazette des Atours de la Reine. In what appears to be an ordinary notebook, the Countess Geneviève d'Ossun - a French courtesan who was lady-in-waiting to Marie-Antoinette - collected numerous samples of fabrics used to make the many royal dresses and outfits of the sovereigns. The fragrance of this collection was designed as a tribute to the rose, the queen's favourite flower throughout her life.
